Some older computers can be upgraded to increase speed, the speed difference between a conventional hard drive and a solid-state hard drive is huge and we have upgraded computers in the past instead of replacing them, saving our customers additional costs, but most computers/laptops now come with solid state drives as standard as the price has become more reasonable meaning less upgrade options.
Older computers are not normally viable for repair due to age, the price for parts and labour in most cases would be better spent on a new computer which would be faster and with warranty.
